Ingredients

  • 1 pint grape tomatoes
  • 1 bunch green onion also called scallions
  • 1 box bowtie pasta
  • olive oil for skillet

Instructions

Prepare Ingredients

  • Prepare bowtie pasta as directed on package
  • Cut tomatoes in half through the middle, not lengthwise
  • Chop the root end off the green onion and chop the whole bunch from the white bulb up.

Cooking Instructions

  • Add enough olive oil to a skillet to cover the bottom and add the tomatoes. Cook on medium high heat until they are just getting tender.
  • Add the chopped green onion to the skillet. Add only as much as you want. You won't need the whole bunch. Warm them up until they are bright green and just getting soft.
  • Mix cooked pasta in with the tomato mixture and serve.

Notes

Serve with shredded Italian cheese mix to sprinkle on top. Those are the cheeses used on pizza, so it is a familiar flavor profile for kids.
